Die Piratenpartei will das Internet als einen autonomen Bereich der Gesellschaft verankern.

Die «Piraten» kritisierten die im Juni vorgestellten 14 Thesen des Bundesinnenministeriums zur Netzpolitik. Bundesinnenminister Thomas de Maizière vertrete eine politische Klasse, die «sich in der Komplexität einer Informationsgesellschaft nicht wohl fühlt und das Rad am liebsten zurückdrehen würde», sagte der Geschäftsführer der Piratenpartei Deutschland, Christopher Lauer.

«Das Netz spiegelt die reale Welt, doch es ist von anderer Natur», lautet die vierte These der «Piraten». «Gesetze der realen Welt dürfen nicht einfach auf das Netz angewendet werden.» Der Staat dürfe nicht zerstörerisch einwirken, sagte Lauer.
